How to Request a Home Visit
Whilst we encourage patients to come to the surgery, where our full range of equipment and facilities are available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. A home visit may be more appropriate in certain circumstances.
Home visits should only be requested if you are genuinely housebound or unable to get to the surgery due to ill health, and not because of a lack of transport, social reasons or inclement weather!
If you wish to request a home visit it is helpful if you ring us before 10.30am. Our administrators will ask for enough details so that the doctor can assess the urgency of the visit and schedule the day's house calls accordingly. We cannot always tell you in advance which doctor will visit you.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are housebound or unable to get to the surgery due to ill health.
A Health Visitor may also visit if you have recently had a baby, or if you are newly registered to the Practice and have a child under five years.
